Trapiche

Okay, imagine you have a juicy fruit like a mango, and you want to get the yummy part out of it. But, the yummy part is stuck inside a hard shell, and you can't reach it with your hands.

This is kind of like how a trapiche works. A trapiche is a tool that's used in South America to extract sugar from sugarcane, which is a tall, grass-like plant that grows in warm, tropical areas.

The trapiche is made up of two parts: a heavy wooden wheel and a large wooden barrel. The sugarcane is fed through the trapiche in between the wheel and the barrel. Then, the wheel is turned by a person or animal, like a donkey or a horse.

The turning of the wheel crushes the sugarcane, and presses out the juice, which is caught in a container below the trapiche. The juice is then boiled down to make sugar.

So, just like how you use your hands to get the yummy part out of a fruit, the trapiche helps people get the sweet sugar out of the tough sugarcane plant.
