ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Travel behavior

Travel behavior is how people move around and travel from one place to another. Imagine you want to go to your friend's house for a playdate. You can travel there by walking, biking, taking the bus with your parents, or even by car.

Travel behavior also includes why people travel, when they travel, and how often they travel. Some people travel to work or school, some travel for vacations and fun, and others need to travel to run errands or go to the doctor.

For example, imagine your mom needs to go to the grocery store. She will use her car to travel there because it is too far to walk, and she needs to carry a lot of things back home. But if you want to go to the park and it's just a few blocks away, you can take a bike or walk with your parents.

Different people have different travel behaviors, depending on where they live, where they need to go, and how they prefer to travel. Some families might prefer to live in a city where they can walk to many places, while others might prefer to live in the suburbs where they can drive to most destinations.

Overall, travel behavior is an essential aspect of our everyday lives, and it influences how we move around and interact with the world.
