Treasure of Nagyszentmiklós

Treasure of Nagyszentmiklós is a group of gold artifacts that were found near a small village in Transylvania, Romania. The treasure was discovered in 1799 by a local farmer when he was plowing a field. It includes around 100 gold objects, such as jewelry, coins, and pendants. These items were probably made in the 5th and 6th centuries. Archaeologists believe that the treasure was hidden by the Saxons, a tribe of Germanic people who lived in Romania at the time. They might have hidden the treasure to keep it safe from invaders. The Treasure of Nagyszentmiklós has become a symbol of the region and it's an important part of its cultural heritage.
