Okay kiddo, during the Blitz in World War II, when lots of bombs were dropping on cities in England, some people still went out for walks in the countryside. This is called trekking.
When you go on a trek, you walk a long way outside where there are no buildings or roads. It's a fun way to explore nature and get some exercise.
Now during the Blitz, it was very dangerous to be in cities because there were so many bombs dropping. But some people who lived in the countryside wouldn't let the bombs stop them from going on their treks. They would wear helmets and take cover when they heard the warning sirens.
Sometimes they would see planes flying overhead which could be very scary. But they knew that they needed to keep moving and stay safe so they could continue going on their treks.
Even though it was a scary and uncertain time, people still found ways to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. And that's how they kept their spirits up during the difficult days of the Blitz.
