Trip distribution

Trip distribution is the way that people decide to travel from one place to another. It's like a map of how people get from Point A (like your home) to Point B (like the store). Trip distribution can be broken down into different pieces. First, you decide how far away Point B is from Point A - this is called the travel distance. Then you need to decide how to get from Point A to Point B - this is called the transportation mode. Finally, you need to decide when you want to leave - this is called the travel time. All of these pieces help us understand the trip distribution, so we know how people are getting around.
