Trivers–Willard hypothesis

The Trivers–Willard hypothesis is an idea that explains why some animals have more male or female babies. It says that animals with more resources usually have more males, while animals with fewer resources usually have more females. This is because males usually require more resources than females to survive, so if you have extra resources to go around, it makes sense to make more males.
