ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Trixie (bet)

Okay kiddo, let me tell you about Trixie bets! It's like you want to bet on more than one thing happening, but you don't want to have to win every single bet to get a payout.

So let's say you want to bet on three different horse races. With a Trixie bet, you would pick three horses, but you wouldn't have to win all three races to win some money.

Instead, a Trixie bet covers all the possible combinations of doubles and a treble that you can make with your three choices.

Here's an example:

You pick horses A, B, and C to win in three different races.

Your Trixie bet would cover:

- A and B winning
- B and C winning
- A and C winning
- All three horses winning

So, if two of your horses win their races, you would get paid out for the double bet of those two horses winning. And if all three of your horses win, you would get paid out for all three bets.

It's a nice way to spread your risk and still have a chance to win some money, even if not every single one of your choices comes in first.

And that's Trixie bets for you, kid!
