Tropical cyclogenesis

Tropical cyclogenesis is when a storm develops over warm ocean waters. The air over the warm water rises, and starts to spin as it rises. As it continues to spin and push air up, more air gets sucked into the spinning storm - like a tornado, but much bigger and stronger! Eventually, lots of clouds form and the spinning storm gets stronger, turning into a hurricane or typhoon.
