True threat

Okay kiddo, today we're going to talk about something called "true threat". A true threat is when someone says or writes something that scares or worries other people.

Imagine if you were playing with a toy and someone said, "I'm going to break that toy if you don't give it to me." That's a true threat because it's making you feel scared and worried that they might actually break your toy.

But if someone says, "I hope your toy breaks," that's not a true threat. Even though it might not be a friendly thing to say, it's not making you feel scared or worried like a true threat would.

So, a true threat is when someone says something that makes others feel scared or worried, while just a mean or rude comment isn't a true threat.
