Twenty mule team

Okay kiddo, so a long time ago, before cars and trucks were around, people needed a way to move heavy things from one place to another. One way they did this was by using animals like mules. And, believe it or not, there was a team of twenty mules that was used to move something called borax.

Borax is a special kind of mineral that people use for cleaning and making things like soap. And, where these twenty mules lived, there were big piles of borax in the ground. But, the only problem was, they were really far away from where people needed them.

So, some smart people came up with an idea. They would use twenty mules, all hooked up to this big wagon, to carry the borax across the desert where people could use it. This team of animals was called the "twenty mule team" and they were very important because they helped move the borax from where it was found to where it was needed.

The mules had to be very strong and work together as a team to pull the heavy wagon across the desert. They also had a person called a "driver" who helped them stay on the path and gave them commands on what to do. It wasn't an easy job, but the twenty mule team was very good at what they did and they helped a lot of people get the borax they needed.
