The two-body problem in a career is a situation when two people like each other but one of them wants a different kind of relationship than the other one does. For example, two people might like each other but one of them might want to be in a romantic relationship, while the other only wants to be friends. It can be a difficult situation to navigate because it can be hard to know what to do or how to handle it.
