Typhus

Typhus is an illness that is caused by germs that get inside your body. When these germs get in, they make you very sick. You can get typhus from being around rodents and their fleas, from eating food or drinking water that is not clean, or from close contact with someone who has typhus. Symptoms of typhus can include headache, fever, rash, and stomach problems. To help keep yourself from getting typhus, it's important to keep your living area clean and free of rodents and their fleas, eat foods that are made with clean water, and wash your hands often.
