ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tyrannicide

Tyrannicide is a big word that means killing a bad leader (called a tyrant) who is doing bad things to people. You know how you might sometimes hear about a king or queen who isn't very nice and treats people badly? Well, tyrannicide is what people might do to stop that person from being in charge anymore.

Sometimes people might try to talk to the leader and tell them to stop doing bad things, but if they don't listen, it might be necessary to take stronger action. That's where tyrannicide comes in.

It's important to remember that killing someone is never a good thing to do unless it's to protect yourself or other people from harm. That's why tyrannicide is a very serious thing and only should be done as a last resort when there's no other way to stop a bad leader from doing bad things.

However, in some countries, tyrannicide is illegal and can have very bad consequences if you get caught. So it's always better to try to solve problems in peaceful ways if possible.
