ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

U.S. Army Biological Warfare Laboratories

Okay kiddo, so the U.S. Army Biological Warfare Laboratories is a place where the army studies tiny living things that can make people sick, like bacteria or viruses. They study these things because if they ever needed to protect us from them, they would know how to do it!

It’s kind of like how you learn about different bugs or animals in school, so you can know how to take care of yourself around them. But instead of bugs or animals, they’re studying tiny living things that can make us sick.

It’s important that they do this because if there was ever a time when a bad disease was spreading around, like the flu, they would be able to figure out how to stop it or keep it from getting worse. It’s like making sure we have the tools we need to be safe and healthy!
