U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program

So, you know how some people have pets like cats and dogs? Well, the navy has some special pets known as marine mammals!

Marine mammals are animals that live in the ocean, like dolphins and sea lions. The navy uses these animals to help them with their work. They train these animals to do special jobs, like finding underwater mines or checking ships for things that shouldn't be there.

The navy takes really good care of these animals. They give them a nice home to live in and lots of yummy fish to eat. They also have special trainers who work with them every day. These trainers teach the marine mammals new tricks and skills to help them with their work.

The navy also studies these animals to learn more about them and how they live in the wild. They want to make sure that they are taking care of the marine mammals in the best way possible.

Overall, the navy's marine mammal program is a way for them to work together with some really smart animals to keep our oceans and ships safe.
