Ukraine

Ukraine is a country in Eastern Europe. It is bordered by other countries like Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia and Romania. Ukraine is the largest country in Europe and is home to about 44 million people. It has a really long history, and for many centuries it was part of different empires like the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. In 1991, Ukraine declared independence and became its own, separate country. It has a democratic government and people there can choose their president and other leaders in elections. Ukraine also has lots of beautiful scenery and cities. A lot of people go there to visit, take pictures, and explore the history.
