Unborn Victims of Violence Act

The Unborn Victims of Violence Act (also known as Laci and Conner's Law) is a law in the United States that says if someone hurts or kills a baby while it is still in its mother's tummy, that person can be charged with an extra crime, on top of any other crime they committed. It means that if someone hurts a pregnant woman, they could be charged with hurting or killing the baby too.
