ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Unconscious bias training

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen someone treat someone else differently just because they look different or come from a different place? That's called unconscious bias. It's when our brains make quick judgments based on things like what someone looks like, where they come from or what culture they are from, without us even realizing it.

Unconscious bias training is like a special lesson for grown-ups to help them become more aware of their unconscious biases. It teaches them to slow down their thoughts and think more carefully about how they treat others based on their own biases.

It helps them understand that everyone is different and unique in their own way, and that it's important to treat everyone with kindness and respect, no matter what they look like or where they come from. This way, we can all work together better as friends and colleagues.
