Underwater welding

Underwater welding is when people weld things together while they are underwater. This is useful when people need to fix things that are in water, like boats, oil rigs, or even big pipes under the ocean.

The first thing the underwater welder needs is a special suit that lets them breathe underwater. This suit is important because people cannot breathe water like fish can. The suit has a helmet that covers the head and allows the person to breathe air from a tank.

The underwater welder also needs to use electricity to make the welds. They use a special welding machine that is specially designed to work underwater. This machine is very powerful and helps the welder make strong and secure welds.

When the underwater welder is ready to start welding, they use a tool called an electrode. It looks like a long metal stick with a wire coming out of it. The electrode creates a spark that melts the metal and the welder uses this melted metal to join two pieces of metal together.

Underwater welding is a very dangerous job that requires a lot of skill and training. The welder needs to be careful not to get hurt or shocked by the electricity, and they need to be able to see what they are doing in the murky water. However, when done properly, underwater welding can be very helpful in getting things fixed and working properly underwater.
