Ungnyeo is a story from Korea about a woman who was turned into a bear. A long time ago, the gods wanted to give people fire. They looked for someone who was brave enough to take fire from them and give it to people on earth. They found two hunters, but they were too scared to take the fire. Then, the gods saw a woman named Ungnyeo. She was very brave and strong, so they gave her the fire.
However, some bad things happened. Ungnyeo was very proud of herself and bragged about how strong she was. The gods were not happy with her, so they turned her into a bear as a punishment. She lived in the mountains for many years and had two children who were half-bear and half-human.
