ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Unicoherent space

Okay kiddo, so imagine you have a big blanket and you're putting a bunch of toys on it. Some of the toys are close together, and some are far apart. But if you look at the whole blanket, you can see all the toys at once.

In space, things are kind of like that too. Sometimes there are things that are very close together, like stars in a galaxy. And sometimes there are things that are very far apart, like galaxies themselves. But overall, you can still think of everything in space as being part of one big blanket -- it's all connected.

That's what we mean when we talk about "unicoherent space." It's a fancy way of saying that even though there are lots of different things in space, they all belong to the same universe and are part of the same "blanket" of space-time. It's like everything is one big family, even though they might not all live in the same house.

Does that make sense?
