Union mark of Norway and Sweden

So you know how sometimes when people work together, they make a special group called a "union"? It's like a big team of workers who decide to work together to make sure they get fair pay and good working conditions.

Well, a long time ago, the countries of Norway and Sweden decided to join together and make a kind of "union" of their own. They called it the "Union mark of Norway and Sweden".

What this means is that they agreed to work together on things, like trade (when you trade things with someone, you give them something and they give you something else) and defense (keeping their countries safe from danger).

In fact, they were joined together like this for about 90 years! Imagine being friends with someone for that long! But eventually, they decided to go their separate ways and each become their own country again.

But even though they're no longer joined together like this, Norway and Sweden are still very close friends and work together on many things.
