Unit pump

Okay kiddo, so a unit pump is a special machine that helps diesel engines make power. Have you seen a big truck or bus before? They usually have diesel engines because they are very strong and can pull heavy things.

Now, these diesel engines need a way to inject fuel (which is like food for the engine) into them so they can make power. This is where the unit pump comes in! It is a little machine that sits on top of the engine and pumps the fuel into the engine at just the right time.

The unit pump works by using electricity to make a small piston move up and down. This piston pushes the fuel through a small hole, which sprays it into the engine. The pump uses a special computer to know exactly when to spray the fuel, so the engine can work efficiently and make lots of power.

Without the unit pump, the diesel engine wouldn't be able to run properly, just like how you need food to have energy to play and have fun!
