United Kingdom–United States relations

United Kingdom-United States relations are the strong ties between the countries of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) and the United States of America. The two countries have been allies since the early 20th century and cooperate on military, economic, and political issues. This means that the leaders of both countries (the Prime Minister from the UK and the President from the US) meet regularly to discuss issues that affect both countries and the rest of the world. Both countries are also members of the United Nations, NATO, and the G7, which means that they work together to solve global problems.
