ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Universal Edit Button

Do you ever write something on a computer, like a comment or post, and then later notice that you made a mistake? Maybe you spelled a word wrong or put a period in the wrong spot. It can be really frustrating because you can't change it once it's been submitted.

Well, some people had an idea to make it easier for all of us! They came up with something called a "universal edit button." This button would let you go back and fix anything you wrote online, even after you hit "submit." It's like having a big eraser for your mistakes!

The way it would work is that whenever you write something online, you would see a little button next to it. If you notice a mistake, you just click the button and it takes you to a new page where you can fix it. Once you're done, you click "save" and your changes are made.

This button would make it easier for everyone to fix mistakes and make their online writing look better. Isn't that cool?
