Universal Monsters

Okay, so remember all those creepy monsters you see in movies and books like Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Mummy? Well, they all belong to a group called the Universal Monsters.

Universal Monsters is just a fancy name for a group of characters that were created by a movie studio called Universal Pictures. The word "universal" just means they belong to everyone and are popular all around the world.

The first Universal Monsters movie was made a long, long time ago in 1931! That's older than your grandma and grandpa! Since then, the studio has made tons of movies with these spooky creatures, and lots of people love to watch them.

These monsters are special because they are different from regular monsters. They are more like characters that people get attached to and enjoy watching. They have their own stories and personalities, and sometimes they even show up in movies together!

So, if you see a movie with the Universal Monsters in it, you can expect to see Frankenstein's big scary monster, Dracula's pale-skinned, fang-toothed vampire, or maybe even the Mummy's bandage-wrapped undead adventurer.

Even though these characters are scary, they are also really interesting and fun to watch. So next time you see a Universal Monsters movie, just remember how old they are and how many people love them!
