Universities Allied for Essential Medicines

Have you ever been sick and needed medicine to feel better? Sometimes, the medicine that helps us get better can be very expensive and not everyone can afford it. This means that some people might not be able to get better even though there is a medicine that can help them.

That's where Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) comes in. UAEM is a group of young people who are still studying in universities and they want to make sure that everyone who needs essential medicines can get them. They do this by talking to universities, governments, and companies to try and make sure that essential medicines are available to everyone who needs them, no matter how much money they have.

The UAEM students also want to make sure that the medicines are developed in a fair and just way. Sometimes, companies might try to make a lot of money by selling a medicine that could help a lot of people. The UAEM wants to stop that from happening so that people who need the medicine can get it without having to pay too much.
