Universities Federation for Animal Welfare

The Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW) is a group of people who care about animals and want to help them stay safe and healthy. They work together with universities all over the world to teach scientists and students how to take care of animals properly.

You know how when you go to the doctor, they take your temperature and ask you how you're feeling to make sure you're okay? Well, scientists who work with animals do the same thing, but with animals! They want to make sure that animals are happy and healthy too. But sometimes, scientists might not know the best way to take care of certain kinds of animals, which is where UFAW comes in.

UFAW makes sure they teach people how to take care of animals properly. They teach them things like what kind of food is good for certain animals, what kind of environment they need to be healthy, and how to keep them safe from harm. They also make sure scientists are being kind to animals and not causing them any unnecessary pain or stress.

So, the UFAW is like a really nice group of people who want to make sure that animals are treated well and not hurt by scientists who are trying to learn new things. They help make sure that animals are happy and healthy, just like you!
