Okay kiddo, have you ever been to a museum before? The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is a special kind of museum where they have really cool things from a long time ago – like over 5,000 years old!

You know how we learn about history and people from books and stories? Well, the museum has things that those people actually touched and used, like pottery, sculptures, and ancient tools. You can see how they lived and what they believed in.

The museum is connected to a famous university called the University of Pennsylvania. That means there are really smart people who work there and help us understand what all of these old things mean. Some of the things came from a place called Egypt like mummies and hieroglyphics, and some of the things are from Native American cultures like beautiful baskets and intricate jewelry.
