Variable density goggles

Ok, so imagine you are going swimming, but instead of regular goggles you have special goggles that can change how much you can see underwater! Kind of like magic, right?

Think of these new goggles like sunglasses for swimming. When we wear sunglasses outside, they darken the light so it's not so bright for our eyes. That's because sunglasses have a special coating that blocks out some light.

Variable density goggles work the same way, but instead of blocking out light they block out water. When we swim in a pool, the water can make it hard to see things clearly. But with these goggles, we can adjust how much water is blocking our vision. We can make it less blurry underwater so we can see everything more clearly.

The way variable density goggles work is pretty cool. They have a special material on the lenses that can change how thick it is. Thicker material blocks more water, and thinner material lets more water in. When we adjust the goggles, it changes how thick or thin the material is, which changes how much water we can see through.

So, to sum it all up, variable density goggles are like special magic goggles that help us see better when we swim. They have a special coating on the lenses that can change how much water we see underwater, so we can see everything more clearly!
