Variable refrigerant flow

Variable Refrigerant Flow is like a car engine. In a car engine, the engine works by taking in gasoline and turning it into energy. Variable Refrigerant Flow does the same thing, but instead of gasoline, it takes in a special type of refrigerant gas and uses it to make cold air. The amount of refrigerant it takes in can be adjusted, or changed (hence "variable"), which means that the cooling is more efficient and effective. This is why Variable Refrigerant Flow is so popular in air conditioners and heat pumps nowadays.
