Veblenian dichotomy

A Veblenian Dichotomy is a way of looking at two different types of people. People who have Veblenian Preferences are people who want to show off their wealth and be seen as having a higher status than other people. People who have Non-Veblenian Preferences are people who prefer to be seen as more ordinary and don't care too much about having a higher status.
