Vegan nutrition

Vegan nutrition is a way of eating that only includes foods that come from plants. That means no animal products like milk, cheese, eggs, or honey. Instead, vegans get their nutrition from fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and seeds. It's important to get enough protein, calcium, iron, zinc, and vitamins D and B12. All of these can be found in plant-based foods, but sometimes vegan eaters need to take supplements to get enough. Eating a variety of different vegan foods can help make sure you get all the nutrition you need.
