Veneration of Judas Thaddaeus in Mexico
In Mexico, some people really like a guy named Judas Thaddaeus. He was one of the guys who followed Jesus a long, long time ago. Even though he was not as famous as some of the other guys, some people think he was really cool because he helped people and told them about Jesus.
So, in some places in Mexico, people like to celebrate Judas Thaddaeus by making big puppets that look like him. These puppets are very colorful and they have big heads and hands that move around. People dance and sing and have fun with the puppets to show how much they like Judas Thaddaeus.
But, some other people think Judas Thaddaeus is not so great. They believe that he did some bad things a long time ago by helping some people who were not nice to Jesus. They do not think he deserves to be celebrated.
In any case, both groups of people in Mexico have strong feelings about Judas Thaddaeus, and they express these feelings in different ways. Some people like him a lot, and some people do not.
