Venus of Berekhat Ram
Okay, so there is this little statue called the Venus of Berekhat Ram. It was found in Israel and it is really, really old. It's about 230,000 years old! That means it's way, way older than anyone who is alive now.
People think that the statue was made by our ancestors, who were called Homo erectus (that's not a silly joke, that's really what they were called!). These were some of the first people who were kind of like us, but they looked different and they lived a loooong time ago.
The statue is made out of a kind of rock called basalt. It is only about six centimeters tall (that's about as tall as a toy car), and it has a shape that looks like a person who is sort of like a lady. She has bumps that could be breasts and a triangle shape that could be her legs.
The thing is, we don't really know what the statue was for. Maybe it was a toy that someone made for fun or maybe it was a little statue that had a special meaning to the people who made it. Scientists are still trying to figure it out!
But the Venus of Berekhat Ram is really special because it is one of the oldest human-made objects that we have ever found, and it shows us that our ancestors were already being creative and making interesting things a really long time ago.
