Vicegerent

Okay kiddo, so there's a word called vicegerent. It means someone who is in charge when the real boss isn't around.

Let's say there's a school principal who goes on vacation for a week. While they are gone, the vice principal becomes the vicegerent because they are in charge of the school while the principal is away.

It’s kinda like when mommy and daddy leave you with a babysitter. The babysitter becomes the vicegerent because they are in charge of watching over you while mommy and daddy are away.
