ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Video spectroscopy

Video spectroscopy is a way of looking at things that are too small or hard to see with just our eyes. Think of it like using special glasses that make things easier to see.

To do video spectroscopy, we use a special machine called a spectrometer. This machine takes in light (which we can't see with our eyes) and breaks it down into different colors, like a rainbow.

Each color represents a different wavelength (or size) of light. This helps us see things that we couldn't see before, like the type of molecule that makes up a particular material.

Now, the "video" part of video spectroscopy means that we can record these colors and wavelengths over time to make a video. This can help us see how things change over time, like how a chemical reaction happens.

Overall, video spectroscopy is a really cool tool that scientists use to see things that are too small or hard to see with our regular eyes.
