Vinča culture was a group of people who lived a really long time ago in Europe. They lived in what is now Serbia and other parts of the Balkan Peninsula. They were called Vinča people because they had a big town called Vinča where they did most of their living.
Vinča people were very smart and creative. They made a lot of things out of clay and stone. They made bowls and cups to eat and drink from, they made tools to help them farm and hunt, and even made some toys to play with.
One of the most amazing things about the Vinča people is that they made a form of writing! Just like how we write letters and words today, they had their own symbols and shapes that they used to write things down. They scratched these symbols into clay tablets and other things they made out of clay.
Even though the Vinča culture lasted a really long time ago, we can still learn a lot about them today. Scientists have found a lot of their pottery and other things they made, and they can help us understand how they lived and what was important to them.
