Visard

A 'visard' is a very old-fashioned word for a small animal that looks like a mixture of a weasel and a ferret, but has a bit longer tail and softer fur. It used to be hunted and trapped for its fur, which was very popular in the clothing industry. Nowadays, you probably won't see many visards around, because people have found other ways to get soft fur for their clothes.
