Vise

A vise is a tool that helps you hold something really tight so you can work on it without it moving around.

Imagine you are playing with a toy car and you want to change the wheels. The problem is that the car keeps moving and spinning around when you try to take the wheels off. That's where a vise comes in handy! It holds the car so it doesn't move around while you work on it.

A vise has two parts: the jaws and the handle. The jaws are the two metal parts that come together when you turn the handle. They move like a mouth, opening and closing to hold things in place.

To use a vise, you will place the thing you want to hold (like the toy car) between the jaws. Then you will turn the handle to close the jaws tightly around the thing you are holding.

Vise is a very useful tool to have in your toolbox because it can hold all sorts of things, from wood and metal to toys and even food (if you're using it in the kitchen!). So next time you need to hold something tight, remember your handy dandy vise!
