Vision statement

A vision statement is like a goal for what a company, organization, or person wants to be like in the future. It is a sentence or short paragraph that describes what the company's or person's goals are, and what they want to do and be. For example, at Nike, their vision statement is: "To bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete in the world." That means that Nike wants to make sure that everyone who plays sports or exercises can find something from Nike that makes them feel inspired and excited about what they are doing.
