ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Visual Prolog

Okay kiddo, do you know what a computer program is? It's a set of instructions that a computer follows to do a specific task. Visual Prolog is a way to write computer programs using a language called Prolog, but with a graphical user interface to help make it easier and more visual.

It's like building with blocks, but instead of wooden blocks, we're using computer code to create things. With Visual Prolog, we can make programs that can do a lot of things like organize information, analyze data, play games or even control robots!

The program is made up of statements written in Prolog. These statements are like building blocks, too, and they fit together like a puzzle. That way the computer can understand what we want it to do.

The visual part of Visual Prolog means that we can use pictures instead of just typing out the code. Imagine using pictures of cars, buses, and bikes instead of typing "vehicle" over and over again. It makes it easier for us to understand and helps us remember what we're doing.

So, Visual Prolog helps us build computer programs with ease. It lets us see our program's components as pictures, which makes it easier for us to use and understand. We can create many types of programs to do different things for us if we use this language.
