Voltammetry

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes you have a toy that needs batteries to work? Well, batteries have something called electricity inside of them, which helps things work.

Now imagine that you have a special machine that helps you figure out how much electricity is in a battery. This machine is called a voltammeter.

Voltammeters work by sending a small amount of electricity into the battery and then measuring how much electricity comes back out. The amount of electricity that comes back out tells you how much electricity is in the battery.

But voltammetry is even cooler than that because it can tell you more than just how much electricity is in a battery. It can also tell you what type of chemicals are inside the battery!

For example, if you put a battery with chemicals A, B, and C inside a voltammeter, the machine can tell you how much electricity is in the battery and also which chemicals are in there. This is super useful for scientists who are trying to figure out how different chemicals behave together.

So, voltammetry is basically a way of measuring electricity and figuring out what chemicals are in a substance. Cool, right?
