They look at lots of different things, like what colors people are wearing, what kinds of designs are showing up in magazines, and what famous people are wearing. They use all this information to predict what kinds of things people are going to want to wear or buy next year.
Then they tell the big companies who make clothes or other things so they have plenty of time to make them and get them in stores. It’s like magic, but with a lot of research and hard work!
