WHO Family of International Classifications

The WHO Family of International Classifications (WHO-FIC) is a system used to name and organize diseases, injuries, disabilities, and causes of death all over the world. It helps doctors and other health professionals to better understand and share information about diseases and other health problems. It also makes it easier for researchers to study global health trends. The WHO-FIC includes five different classifications: International Classification of Diseases (ICD), International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), International Classification of Health Interventions (ICHI), International Classification of Primary Care (ICPC), and International Classification of External Causes of Injury (ICECI). Each classification helps describe and organize health conditions in a way that makes them easier to compare and understand.
