Wagon Wheels

Okay kiddo, do you know what a wagon is? It's like a big car that's pulled by horses, and they used them a long time ago to carry heavy things like food, furniture, and other stuff.

But the thing about wagons is that they needed wheels to move. And these wheels would be made out of spokes and rims that were held together by something called an axle.

Now, when you make a wheel like this, you need to make sure it's round and strong enough to hold heavy things without breaking. So they would use a tool called a lathe to carve the wooden pieces of the wheel into the right shape.

And when the wheel was finished, it would look like a big circle with spokes that come out from the center. This would help make it light and have more support.

So, in short, a wagon wheel is a big round thing with spokes that helps wagons move by being attached to an axle. It's made of strong materials like wood and metal so it doesn't break when carrying heavy things. Pretty cool, huh?
