Walkover (contest)
Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes you and your friends like to have races or games to see who wins, right? Well, sometimes in big contests or sports events, one team or player can't show up to play because they're sick or something else happened, and then the other team or player automatically wins without having to actually compete.
That's what we call a walkover. It's kinda like saying "the other team wins because the other team can't show up." It's not as exciting as actually having a competition, but sometimes it's the only fair thing to do.
