Warfare in Medieval Scotland

Okay kiddo, let's talk about warfare in medieval Scotland. Back then, people would sometimes fight each other to try and become the most powerful or to take over a piece of land.

One way they did this was by using swords and other weapons like bows and arrows. They would wear armor to help protect them from getting hurt. They might also use things like catapults to throw rocks or other things at their enemies.

Different groups of people in Scotland would often fight each other. Sometimes it was between different clans or families, and other times it was between the Scottish people and people from other countries who wanted to take over Scotland.

One famous battle in medieval Scotland was the Battle of Bannockburn. This was when the Scottish army, led by a man named Robert the Bruce, fought against an army from England. They were fighting for control of Scotland. In the end, the Scottish army won the battle and Robert the Bruce became a hero.

Warfare back then was often very dangerous and scary. People could get hurt or killed. But it was also an important part of how people protected their land and their people.
