Warm-blooded

Okay, so you know how your body can feel warm or cold, right? Well, some animals have bodies that can control their temperature, and they are called warm-blooded. That means they can keep their body the same temperature all the time, no matter if it's hot or cold outside.

Now, how do they do this? Warm-blooded animals have something called metabolism. That's when their body can change food and oxygen into energy. This energy helps them stay warm even if their environment is cold, like when it's winter.

Some examples of warm-blooded animals are people, dogs, and birds. But some animals are cold-blooded, like snakes and lizards. They can't control their body temperature, so they need to lay in the sun to warm up on a cold day.

So, in short, being warm-blooded means that an animal's body can control its temperature and stay the same temperature all the time, while cold-blooded animals can't control their temperature and need to warm up in the sun.
