Wayside cross

A wayside cross is a big stick with a special shape on top that you might see outside or along the road. People make them for different reasons, usually as a way to remember somebody special, like maybe someone who passed away a long time ago. It's like a little reminder or a sign to show that somebody important was there. Sometimes people might say a prayer or leave some flowers or candles at the wayside cross to show that they care and remember the person or the reason why the cross was made.
